West Des Moines Parks and Recreation is set to open both Holiday Park Aquatic Center and Valley View Aquatic Center for the 2021 season. To successfully operate both facilities, 120 are hired annually, due to the pandemic and only opening Holiday Park Aquatic Center last year for modified swim lessons and lap swim, this year has been very challenging to hire enough lifeguards. We are still needing to hire 15-20 more lifeguards for this season. If you or someone you know would be interested, please share this information with them. You must apply online at www.wdm.iowa.gov/jobs.
Being a lifeguard is more than just a summer job. Not only will you have lots of fun and play a valuable role in your community but you will gain valuable skills that will help you become a well-rounded individual.
